12 days of Christmas… in reverse

post by matt

So today is a special day. First of all because it’s Nat’s Birthday. Any guesses as to how old? Second because it’s the first day of the twelve days of Christmas. Last year we got a lot of great feedback from our ‘best of’ posts at the end of the year, so we decided do some more. This time it will be over the 12 days of Christmas.

We have so many great wedding photos from this year that we want to share some of our favorites and also highlight some the things that made the year so special. We’re doing them in reverse, so to start off here are 12 of our favorite favors from this year. These are just some of the ones that stood out to us and listed in no particular order. (And if your favor was food then I probably ate it before I got the picture taken… oops)

From Chelsea & Jared’s Wedding mints to match their colors, Nat loves them because they’re mini, and she likes anything mini.
0001
From Abbi & Brian’s Wedding, Oregano & Thyme seeds disguised as place cards, they get the award for the most sustainable wedding.
0002
From Ashley & Nick’s Wedding, a colorful candy bar. They also had bags for all the kidos to fill up and take home.
0003
From Christina & Dennis’ Wedding, coasters that matched their fall theme perfectly.
0004
From Destiny & Elijah’s Wedding, personalized playing cards.
0005
From Eileen & Walt’s Wedding, a great bottle of Nissley wine.
0006
From Jenni & Brian’s Wedding, Jones soda with personalized labels and color to match.
0007
From Jessica & Andrew’s Wedding, in lieu of favors a donation was given to the orphanage that Jessica and her twin sister were adopted from!
0008
From Katie & Jamie’s Wedding, homemade strawberry jam.
0009
From Kelly & Shaun’s Wedding, personalized beer glasses.
0010
From Kristin & Gary’s Wedding, caramel apples, yum!
0011
From Lauren & Jonathan’s Wedding, made by Jonathan himself.

    1. This is really cool! I love the texture in the sour candy photo. But aren’t the 12 days of Christmas starting the day after Christmas? I guess this format works better in our culture since Americans have a Western approach to Christmas that ends the moment midnight hits at the end of December 25th. I wonder if we would be better-off if we celebrated according to the traditional Christian calendar? Okay, I’m rambling. Cool wedding favors. :)
